I just wrote the app, where do I start?

The first time you open the app you are prompted to create a password to log in. It will be the only password you will need to remember, because, for security reasons, it cannot be reset. Later through the app settings you can change it to your liking.


How do I create the forms that contain the secret data?

On the main screen you can create new modules by clicking the + button at the bottom right. If you do not find the one you are interested in in the list you are viewing, you can click More .. and create fields as you wish to enter the secret data.


Where are the data entered?

You can move between screens with the menu. To open it, press the button on the left at the top of each page. In the menu you have the list of categories to which you have associated your modules, and a button at the top, All modules, where you can view the complete list.


How does the PREMIUM version work?

By unlocking the PREMIUM version via 1 single in-app purchase, you will have all the features unlocked forever and you will never have to pay again (always using the same Google account). No subscription is required, just a single purchase. Or you can choose the monthly subscription that automatically renews.


How does the FREE version?

Password Cloud, once downloaded, gives you a 7-day period with all features enabled, after the 7 days you can always enter, edit or delete the forms that contain your secret data (forever), but some important features will be disabled.


What is automatic synchronization for?

By enabling automatic synchronization with Google Drive, you have a very important advantage:
If you have multiple Android devices, or want to share secret data with your family, you can do so simply by enabling synchronization and using the same account on all devices.


Is the data really safe?

Password Cloud is an app that uses a 256-bit encryption method, you probably don't know what that means, but in a nutshell it is a cutting-edge technology in cybersecurity, also used at military level.
All your secret data is stored inside a Password_cloud.db file. As explained above, this file is encrypted and is practically impossible to decipher. The Password_Cloud.db file, you can only open it through the Password Cloud app, in the Android version or in the desktop version and only with your password.
It cannot be opened with a simple File Manager or anything else.


What happens if my phone is stolen?

Nothing!If an attacker gets hold of your phone and tries to enter the master password to view your data, Password Cloud grants some unlocking attempts, after which all your secret data will be completely deleted. The number of unlock attempts can be easily set via the app settings.


Besides passwords, what can I store in the app?

All! Some examples of what Password Cloud can do. You can store credit card data, website user names and passwords, secret codes (e.g. house alarm), secret address book, secret images, etc. Password Cloud.


How does the automatic lock work?

If the application is open and your device screen turns off, or if you click the HOME button on your phone, when you reopen Password Cloud, it will ask you for the unlock password again.


I no longer remember the login password, can I recover it?

The only way to recover your login password is to have your email stored in the app. During the recovery phase, the app generates a temporary password that will be immediately sent to your email. You will need to enter it and then set a login password again. The temporary password is valid for 15 minutes.


Manual data backup

Settings> Backup and reset> Manual backup.
The application creates an encrypted file with the name Password_cloud.db, inside the phone.


PDF file creation

Settings> Backup and reset> Export to PDF.
The application creates a PDF file with all your passwords inside. The PDF file is protected with the same password with which you log in to the app.


Manual data restore

To restore the data manually, after creating the backup, just go to Backup and restore> Manual restore.
At that point select the Password_Cloud file, the data will be imported into the application. You have the option to manually restore data even if you had sync on. Go to the web space of the Cloud chosen for synchronization and manually download the Password_Cloud file and put it somewhere on the device, then follow the procedure as written above.


Transfer of data to other devices
(Smartphone - Tablet - PC application)

You have 2 ways to transfer app data to other devices:
1. AUTOMATIC
Enable synchronization with Google Drive, so that data transfer will be automatic on all your devices, including the desktop version. Enable synchronization on the first phone (the one where you have the data in Password Cloud), Settings > Automatic synchronization > click on a Cloud icon and proceed with Sign in On the second phone, select the Cloud and sign in with the same account.
From this moment on, the data of the devices will always be synchronized.
** Remember to always use the same Google account on all devices, otherwise data synchronization will not be possible.


2. MANUAL
Settings > Backup and restore > Manual backup
Save the encrypted Password_Cloud.db file to a location on your device.
At this point, find the encrypted Password_Cloud.db file that you just saved on the device and transfer it (via USB cable, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.) to the new device, in any location.
In the new device Settings> Backup & restore> Manual restore Through the screen, select the encrypted file password_Cloud.db, if the data exists, it will be overwritten.


PREMIUM version not recognized

The purchase of the PREMIUM version goes through Google. Every time you open the Google app, check if you have the PRO version or the FREE version. Sometimes Google doesn't recognize the purchase, so proceed like this. The first thing to do is make sure you have the Google account with which you purchased the PRO version active. Close and reopen the app several times.


Fix synchronization issues

Instructions to re-enable sync if you have problems:
1 Disable synchronization from Password Cloud settings
2 From PC open Google Drive
3 Click settings
4 Click Manage Apps
5 Scroll down the list
6 next to Password Cloud, click OPTIONS
7 Disconnect the app by checking Delete hidden data
8 Reopen Password Cloud, enable synchronization and grant the requested permissions.
